Dr. Tom Mar
Assistant Principal, St. Mary's High School
Tom brings 24 years of experience in education across California and Arizona, including service as a department chair of multiple departments. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership and degrees in physics, philosophy, and curriculum and instruction. He has built and grown philosophy programs where none previously existed at three Catholic high schools in Phoenix.
As a father of six beautiful children including a child with Down Syndrome, he brings both conviction and compassion to his work, ensuring that students of all abilities are met with dignity, high expectations, and a true sense of belonging. As a returning board member with The Matthew 19:14 Project, he supports greater inclusion for students with disabilities and neurodivergent learning in Catholic schools.
